The Opportunity
 
Reporting to the Head of Languages, the French Teacher will play a key role in delivering engaging and innovative language education across Years 7-12. This is a full-time, permanent position.
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching French across stages 3 to 6, with the potential for teaching extension French at senior level for suitably interested and skilled applicants.
  • Creating dynamic, student-focused learning experiences aligned with the NSW Languages Curriculum.
  • Contributing to curriculum planning, programming, and resource development within a collaborative and supportive Languages Department.
  • Engaging with students beyond the classroom through mentoring, co-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Promote a global mindset, champion cultural awareness and curiosity about the world.
   
About You
 
You are a passionate educator who brings creativity and enthusiasm to language learning.
 
Key requirements:
  • Fluency in French and a degree in Education or relevant discipline.
  • Experience teaching French to secondary students (Years 7-12), with knowledge of the NSW Languages Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to integrate ICT into teaching.
  • A collaborative team player who engages with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to co-curricular involvement and student wellbeing.
