The opportunity 

Reporting to the executive suite and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Director Indigenous Development will: 

• Lead the implementation of the Indigenous strategy, aligning it with organisational goals. 

• Build and elevate partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and stakeholders. 

• Embed cultural objectives across the organisation, ensuring integration into all functions. 

• Strengthen internal and external relationships, driving impactful outcomes and collaboration.    

• Proven experience in strategic leadership within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts. 

• Strong relationship-building skills with communities, stakeholders, and partners. 

• Expertise in advocacy and policy, with a focus on driving meaningful outcomes. 

• Ability to integrate cultural objectives into organisational strategy and operations. 

• Deep understanding of Indigenous governance and navigating mainstream/Indigenous intersections. 

• Lead the development and implementation of the Indigenous strategy in a forward-thinking organisation. 

• Work closely with a committed leadership team to drive cultural integration and impact. 

• Elevate partnerships and shape key relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
