The opportunity
Reporting to the executive suite and working closely with cross-functional teams, the Director Indigenous Development will:
- Lead the implementation of the Indigenous strategy, aligning it with organisational goals.
- Build and elevate partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and stakeholders.
- Embed cultural objectives across the organisation, ensuring integration into all functions.
- Strengthen internal and external relationships, driving impactful outcomes and collaboration.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- Proven experience in strategic leadership within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with communities, stakeholders, and partners.
- Expertise in advocacy and policy, with a focus on driving meaningful outcomes.
- Ability to integrate cultural objectives into organisational strategy and operations.
- Deep understanding of Indigenous governance and navigating mainstream/Indigenous intersections.
